Basso & Brooke's S/S 09 Collection was bursting with loud collages of patterns dazzled with Japanese inspired embroidery and heavy beading- something that would usually never make me weak in the knees. But I wasn't so much into the intensely colored prints as I was into the artfully carved platform heels designed by Raouda Assaf... seriously I died when I saw these. And I'm still dying.

Loving the colours, but hating the carved heel! Seriously, that's what the heels of my shoes look like after my puppy has chewed on them (and it costs me nothing to get them to look that way!). Perhaps we should form a team where I buy platforms on sale, he chews the crap out of them, then I spray them a bright colour and sell them for $1000 - brilliant!

I love they idea and the colors but ew on the shape. The platform should be in balance with the heel. Platform should be an inch lower.

i wonder why the designer chose to make the front platform in that particular pattern. All the other front platforms had something that related it to the heel or the shoe, but this one was quite random.
my fav has got to be the black one, although you can't see the texture of the heel well, black always draws me in.

Basso & Brooke absolutely BLINDED me, but I loved every second of it. My favorite part was the gigantic bobby pins in the models' hair. The heels on these shoes are pretty cool though!
