Curtain Dress

Played dress-up today... I found this chiffon skirt a while back, but I never really attempted to wear it because it's a little too much for coffee runs and things like that.

First I tried it as a dress...
Wore it with a vintage shaggy fur coat and crystal brooches, American Apparel floppy hat, Karen Walker sunglasses, and Nina Ricci python pumps.
I am in love with these sparkly pins I picked up at one of my favorite vintage boutiques. The owner of the shop has quite the personality, but she has the greatest collection of antique brooches!!
Such a fun and girly skirt! Wearing it again with my all-time favorite motorcycle jacket, a Zara striped top, and Alaia pumps.
Random shot from today, wearing a silk 50's dress... It has little lips all over it, so cute!!

I Saw the Sun

The weather has been so beautiful lately, I figured it was only appropriate to whip out one of my favorite frilly skirts on a trip to run errands...

Wore a sequined gold blouse from American Rag, vintage navy blue blazer, Topshop tutu-esque skirt, and one of my favorite pair of shoes by Prada..
Thanks for all of the bike-riding tips, I really am considering buying a bike this weekend.

Beverly Boulevard

Wandered around town today after brunch. I wanted to go bike riding but the boyfriend was doubting my athletic skills. First of all, you don't need to be athletic to ride a damn bike and second of all, how hard can it be to ride in heels?  Whatever...
I wore a vintage wool blazer, it has such a great cut! Paired it with jeans and scarf from Zara, Karen Walker sunglasses, Coach handbag, and Yves Saint Laurent pumps.

Just Like to Play

It was only raining on a few blocks in West Hollywood today- really strange. Wanted to watch Alice and Wonderland, but didn't have the patience to wait in line... I'll just wait a few weeks.

Found this Norma Kamali trench coat the other day! It's actually a size bigger, but I kind of like it that way.
I wore it out to breakfast- with a orange silk scarf, American Apparel nylon leggings, and a pair of Lamb strappy sandals.

Also wore my new favorite earrings (that I accidentally broke later on while attempting to adjust the clip-on clasp)...
A few people have written to me recommending that I stick with neutral colors or that I should really consider dressing like those models off-duty. You know what I have to say to that crap? Screw it. Fashion should be fun. There should never be any rules about what you should and shouldn't wear. Matter of fact, I hate those magazine articles that talk about dressing to suit your figure... maybe some people don't want to accentuate their small waistline... maybe some people like showing off their wide hips... maybe some don't want to wear all black just to look thinner... do you get my point?
